Best Dive Spots for Experienced Divers

Coiba National Park is widely considered Panama’s top diving destination for experienced divers. Located off the Pacific coast, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is often compared to the Galápagos Islands due to its exceptional biodiversity. Strong currents and nutrient-rich waters attract large pelagic species, including hammerhead sharks, manta rays, reef sharks, and, during certain seasons, whale sharks. Marine life is abundant, including reef fish, octopuses, sea turtles, and occasional rays, allowing new divers to gain confidence while enjoying diverse underwater scenery.
